End of Summer Blues

Here's to the end of an amazing summer and to the start of an even better autumn,
with lots of stylish buys and fabulous nights out.
Things to do and things not to do,
places to go and place not to go,
here's to the start of something even better.
So lets not get all sad and upset about the end of summer because i'm sure (so sure) there's so much more to come.
So end of summer blues? I think the start of something new.

So now the pep talk is out of the way lets get onto my final outfit of summer. Yep I said it but onto better things remember?. When I thought of this outfit, I really wanted to wear something that would allow me to show my legs because we can guarantee I will not be able to do that again (when its cold over here...IT'S COLD). I opted for a T-shirt dress and then added an oversized denim jacket for added texture and edge. I finished off the look with a pair of heeled ankle boots to add height and a touch of glamour. Going back to the final days of showing my legs comment I actually started to regret the choice as soon as I had finished my shoot because it got super windy, so how's that for the end of summer.

The dress is just a H&M T-shirt dress (similar), the jacket is a custom from Reworks Denim on Etsy and the shoes are a pair of London Rebel ankle boots (similar).

Parisian style

Welcome back after a long while. I'm sorry it's been so long but I'm back with a bang (well sort off).

This post marks the first time EVER I've taken you away with me and on this trip, I went to the beautiful French city Paris, it was a short trip out with my family and we loved it. We stayed at a beautiful Airbnb right in the heart of Gare du Nord, 30 minutes from the Eifel tower on foot, 15 minutes to the Opera and (More importantly) central to all the little Parisian stores. However, that being said I didn't actually end up visiting many stores. Not because I didn't want to but because I didn't have much time to shop around for the things I wanted on the days we went out.

There was this one lingerie store in particular called Etam that I regret not returning to because they had some really good pieces. Specifically, this lace halter bodysuit that I needed in my life, like seriously as soon as I saw it I planned several outfits with it and then walked out of the store without it. But with perfect reason of course, the bodysuit was lace so I had to make sure it was concealed enough to be worn out as a top and I didn't get to try it on as we were headed to dinner, so I didn't want to risk it and left it. So I guess moral of the story is to always make time to shop. ALWAYS.

So guys onto the outfit I opted for this beautiful bell sleeve jumper with a pair of frayed hem jeans, my Claudia Ghizzani mules and accessorized with a chain strap shoulder bag for added colour and texture. So there you have it guys a simple outfit for a day out in Pari.

Until next time,

The over-the-knee boots

As promised here is the post all about my over-the-knee boots. Like any overly loved purchase,
there's a story, now this one is sort of long so standby lol. These boots were on my mind as soon as I spotted them on the Zara website I literally couldn't do without, to the point where I'd find myself stalking them on the Zara website day and night and making outfits to go with them. CRAZY right ?. Luckily however Christmas was right around the corner so I put them on my list but, at that moment I knew I had f*cked up because when you put something on your list it means, firstly you have to wait till after Christmas to wear them and more importantly it means you can no longer buy them yourself because you obviously don't want doubles.

It honestly just gets worse from here. Christmas came and I never ended up getting them (that's another long story for another day)and being the crazy fashion maniac that I am I knew there was no point in rushing to get them now as the January sales were right around the corner. When I made this choice I knew I was taking a HUGE gamble thinking that I would have a chance to get them before anyone else did. So I went down to oxford street and checked ALL Zara stores and they were out of stock in my size. I almost cried. Till this day I still don't know why I thought nobody in their right mind would pick them up lol. The worst part was I was checking online and they were in stock but at the time I had no time to go get them.

LE GOOD PART

At-last things started looking up because I didn't give up. I searched far and wide for them and finally found them online, on Ebay from Portugal. However (there's always a however) they ended up costing more than the sale price as well as the original price but I guess that was inevitable considering shipping etc but ISSA VIBE so I went with it. To be completely honest I really wasn't that angry because these shoes had caused me so much stress there was really no point turning back now. And that ends the tale of the Zara boots that I just had to have.

There is of-course one aspect I didn't mention and that is why? why these boots? well to be honest the leather and the patent toe cap sold me. Like come on did you not see them. UGH.

I really would link these boots but they are sold out on the Zara website and are apparently not coming back (who even are they? Zara btw) and the Ebay shop is out too (you can still have a look though). I know, sorry. So I guess the moral of the story is if you really want something search far and wide and make sure you get it lol.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed my little story,

xoxo The Walking Babe

(My eyes are open I was just looking down lol)

That title is 100% honest I actually did photograph this outfit a few weeks ago but soooo much has been going on lately that I just never got it up. Firstly I couldn't transfer my photos to my editing software, which meant I wasn't able to post a bomb ass photo (and girl you know if it ain't bomb it ain't going up lol). Secondly, I've also been so busy trying to meet all my school deadlines (Ugh, I know its so overrated but y'all its my final year. Gotta push through).

Onto the outfit, it all started with these leather over-the-knee boots that I just had to make an outfit around. So, I popped on this cowl neck jumper dress(that I've had for years), I also added a small cross body bag because I didn't want to take too much away from the outfit, then added a pair of silver hoop earrings for a different touch and finally finished the whole look off with a messy double bang up-do. For warmth I decided to do some layering and wore a mini stripe dress underneath, I also popped on a long duck down jacket but none of the photos with it on were nice so i'll just have to tell you lol.

P.S - I'm not going to be giving any details about the boots now as I will have a separate post for that.
