The over-the-knee boots

As promised here is the post all about my over-the-knee boots. Like any overly loved purchase,
there's a story, now this one is sort of long so standby lol. These boots were on my mind as soon as I spotted them on the Zara website I literally couldn't do without, to the point where I'd find myself stalking them on the Zara website day and night and making outfits to go with them. CRAZY right ?. Luckily however Christmas was right around the corner so I put them on my list but, at that moment I knew I had f*cked up because when you put something on your list it means, firstly you have to wait till after Christmas to wear them and more importantly it means you can no longer buy them yourself because you obviously don't want doubles.

It honestly just gets worse from here. Christmas came and I never ended up getting them (that's another long story for another day)and being the crazy fashion maniac that I am I knew there was no point in rushing to get them now as the January sales were right around the corner. When I made this choice I knew I was taking a HUGE gamble thinking that I would have a chance to get them before anyone else did. So I went down to oxford street and checked ALL Zara stores and they were out of stock in my size. I almost cried. Till this day I still don't know why I thought nobody in their right mind would pick them up lol. The worst part was I was checking online and they were in stock but at the time I had no time to go get them.

LE GOOD PART

At-last things started looking up because I didn't give up. I searched far and wide for them and finally found them online, on Ebay from Portugal. However (there's always a however) they ended up costing more than the sale price as well as the original price but I guess that was inevitable considering shipping etc but ISSA VIBE so I went with it. To be completely honest I really wasn't that angry because these shoes had caused me so much stress there was really no point turning back now. And that ends the tale of the Zara boots that I just had to have.

There is of-course one aspect I didn't mention and that is why? why these boots? well to be honest the leather and the patent toe cap sold me. Like come on did you not see them. UGH.

I really would link these boots but they are sold out on the Zara website and are apparently not coming back (who even are they? Zara btw) and the Ebay shop is out too (you can still have a look though). I know, sorry. So I guess the moral of the story is if you really want something search far and wide and make sure you get it lol.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed my little story,

xoxo The Walking Babe

(My eyes are open I was just looking down lol)

That title is 100% honest I actually did photograph this outfit a few weeks ago but soooo much has been going on lately that I just never got it up. Firstly I couldn't transfer my photos to my editing software, which meant I wasn't able to post a bomb ass photo (and girl you know if it ain't bomb it ain't going up lol). Secondly, I've also been so busy trying to meet all my school deadlines (Ugh, I know its so overrated but y'all its my final year. Gotta push through).

Onto the outfit, it all started with these leather over-the-knee boots that I just had to make an outfit around. So, I popped on this cowl neck jumper dress(that I've had for years), I also added a small cross body bag because I didn't want to take too much away from the outfit, then added a pair of silver hoop earrings for a different touch and finally finished the whole look off with a messy double bang up-do. For warmth I decided to do some layering and wore a mini stripe dress underneath, I also popped on a long duck down jacket but none of the photos with it on were nice so i'll just have to tell you lol.

P.S - I'm not going to be giving any details about the boots now as I will have a separate post for that.
